Our jewelers are at it again with this handmade platinum pear diamond engagement ring with graduated side diamonds.

The center pear diamond is 1.69 carats with H color VS clarity and is set in an elegant scalloped shaped head. There are five diamonds down each side of the ring that gradually taper in size for a comfortable fit. In total, the side diamonds weigh 1.59 carats.

This exquisite pear diamond setting is referred to as the tear drop diamond due to its shape. As a fancy cut diamond the pear cut tends to show strong color but hides imperfections very well. The pear diamond cut dates all the way back to the mid 1400’s, first created by Flemish polisher named Lodewyk van Berquem.
